This strategy assumes you have 200 troop capacity. It also assumes you have well upgraded troops: level 3 Healers, level 5 Giants and Wizards. It can be done with troops one level lower, but it should not be used in the top ten unless these requirements are met.
Make up: 3 Healers, 6 Bombers, 14 Wizards, 18 Giants, CC Wizards level 6, 2 Healing spells, 1 Rage spell.
This strategy is based on Wizards. Level 5 Wizards actually do more damage per second than level 3 Dragons! So with 19 total Wizards we have double the fire power, IF we can keep them alive. That's the goal of this strategy. Start by luring the clan castle troops ALWAYS. You can use a Giant for this; bonus points if you can send the Giant where you were going to send the others anyway and look for bombs or traps. Lure the enemy troops to a corner near where you want to start your attack from and kill them by dropping 1 Giant and a few Wizards in a ball around them. While they are cleaning up those troops, release your Giants in two waves. You should have two sets of 8 left. You want to put one near where the Wizards are gonna show up after killing the troops. And you want the other 8 just a little further away so they target a different defense. Remember to send one in first to look for springs! Use well timed bombs to get the giants in the first layer. You can generally do this by waiting until the first mortar lands and then dropping 2 or 3 bombs. THIS IS IMPORTANT: you need to get most of your Wizards down now, including the Clan Castle. Save 5 of them for the end, but drop the rest near each group of Giants a little spread out so they clean up while the Giants take the damage. If the anti-air is close to the edge, use your healing spells to keep the group closest to the anti-air alive. Once the anti-air is dead, drop 1 Healer per group of Giants. If they have merged, drop 2. If the anti-air is not close to the edge, drop 1 Healer per group of Giants at the beginning to keep them alive. Supplement with Healing spells. Once the Wizards make it to the center of the base, use the Rage spell to help them finish off the Town Hall. If your Wizards die before they get there, let the Giants clean up a little bit, then drop the last 5 you saved so that they target the TH. You can also use the last 5 if you giant go off in the wrong direction and need help killing something a little faster. Your last Healer can be used to help keep the level 6 Wizards in your Clan Castle alive, or to keep the Giants alive if the others died early to anti-air which is now dead. If your troops were unable to clear the anti air, either save your Healer or make sure to use it away from the defenses to keep high level Wizards or your Giants alive.
This strategy is very versatile and can be used on high level bases to almost guarantee 2 stars. As long as your Giants don't get stuck on walls or sprung in the air, your Wizards will do quite a lot of damage. The key is remembering to keep the Giants healed and keep Wizards near them. Saving a few troops allows for this later in the fight, but get Giants down early as they are dangerous in a group.
This isn't exactly what I recommend, but it's a good video to get the idea: www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbQUvs6qX90
