Our clan is focused on winning wars. We were also founded as a "family friendly" clan and try to encourage our players not to use profanity or inappropriate jokes for kids (or at least kids that aren't already making the kind of jokes we're talking about). Violators with no history to the clan will be kicked immediately (as some of you have probably seen Joatmon do to new recruits) and more loyal members will be told off and kicked if it persists too frequently.
Donating troops on prep day
If a base has the capacity for a dragon (20 or more slots) and you don't have a dragon, don't donate until a dragon is donated. Our goal is to get the highest level dragons possible and donations to the war bases don't count (for some reason) towards clan donations. Level 3+ dragon donators should be the only ones donating the majority of the time. If prep day is about to end and there are still spots open for dragons, level 2 dragon donators can go ahead and fill in the rest. High level wizards and/or archers should accompany the dragon if space permits it. War bases with 15 or fewer slots should have 1 valkyrie, however many high level wizards fit in addition to that and the rest high level archers.
Attacking enemy bases (with some strategy)
The rank system takes into account many factors and sometimes leaves us with mirrors that aren't exactly fair or possible to get decent stars on. The top 5 ranked players aren't necessarily expected to get 3 stars, but 1 star is expected unless we get a bad draw and a level 100+ is up against a level 85. As such, I like to assign ranges of ability based on the upgrades people have on their army rather than by rank:
Up until TH7 where you can gain access to dragons, requesting a max level healer for your Clan Castle can greatly increase the effectiveness of your army, but finding the appropriate base for you to attack in general lies in your own hands. Level 6 TH players will find themselves having to attack much lower than their rank in many wars simply to have a fair chance at things. Don't be ashamed of doing so, this is normal and we discourage attacking stupidly high just to try and prove yourself. If you do use healers, make a B-line for any air defenses using giants in front and wizards or archers behind them. When it is destroyed deploy your healer as close to the giants as possible so they hopefully target them. There are several strategies however, two of which can be found in the walkthrough section with greater detail than this: basic strategy and low level with castle hogs.
We encourage, but don't enforce, a dragon strategy for those with TH levels 7 and 8. During TH level 8, people should be upgrading PEKKAs and dark barracks to gain access to golems for the GoWiPe strategy for when level 3 dragons stop being effective against bases in late TH8 and onward.
With level 1 dragons and decently upgraded lightning spells, one should be able to take any base from a TH7 base with 2 level 4 air defenses or weaker by taking out one air defense with lightning and flooding the base with dragons near the remaining air defense.
With level 2 dragons and decently upgraded lightning spells, one should be able to take any base from a TH8 base with 3 level 4 air defenses or weaker by taking out one air defense with lightning and flooding the base with dragons near the remaining air defenses.
With level 3 dragons and level 4+ lightning/rage spells, one should pick and choose whether to use dragons or GoWiPe depending on the target base's air defense setup. Walkthrough for dragon attacks. For level 1 and 2 dragons, use the lightning strategy; level 3 use either.
With level 5 wizards/giants, level 3 healers and 200 troop capacity, one has the option of using an adapted version of the classic giant/archer strategy we know and love from our basic days instead of dragons. This comes with the added bonus of being a lot cheaper for those saving up for elixir related upgrades. For a walkthrough of this go here.
With level 2 pekkas and golems when matched up against bases that level 3 dragons no longer can easily 3 star, one should start practicing GoWiPe strategy. A description of this and helpful links/examples available in walkthrough section.
In general, know your limits. If you're attacking below where others your rank are, try upgrading your army for later wars. Ask if you don't know which units to upgrade. If you are the lowest ranked of our clan, try to get your attack in as soon after the war starts as you can.
Your second attack should be used during the last 12 hours of the war. If you know you'll be busy during that time (or asleep), go ahead and use it early. The lowest ranked members may use both of their attacks if everyone else below them has.
Follow any advice from clan mail (you can access your mail under the third tab of the mail icon that tells you recent raid information) or from our leaders in chat and you should be fine.
Between wars/FAQ
We kick based on inactivity in war and donations, profanity or inappropriate jokes or conversation in clan chat, and general rudeness or jerkiness.
We promote based on consistent ability and dedication in war (meaning attacking the bases you probably should be attacking for how good your army is as well as getting good stars on them), preparedness in upgrading army/defenses, helpfulness and loyalty/seniority. If you've been a member for a long time and haven't been promoted, ask how you can improve and follow those instructions. Usually it's not doing well attacking in war or having a poorly upgraded army.
If you don't know how to play that well and/or have just started the game and stumbled into our clan, go ahead and ask for help. If you have a specific question or can steer our help with a general topic of interest, that helps us help you all the more.
If you know you're going to bepredisposed busy for the weekend and actually care whether you're eventually kicked or not, take these simple steps to change your war indicator to let us know go to your profile by clicking the blue "i" button in the chat window, click "my profile" tab at the top, click the "clan wars" button, then click the choice that applies to you. Same steps go for being included in clan wars.
We have bonus wars on occasion in the middle of the week. If you are active enough and don't mind the extra hassle involved, changing the indicator right after the first war can let you avoid these wars if you're so inclined to.
If you have further questions, go ahead and ask either here or in chat.
